Since 1992, God has blessed the ministry of Capstone Quartet in ways that we could have only imagined. We've sung to thousands of people while traveling to at least 22 states, forged countless friendships across the nation and, mostly importantly, seen many souls won to the Lord. Our music has received national and international airplay and had success on the Singing News Top 80 chart. We have fielded inquiries for appearance engagements from such faraway lands as Norway and South Africa. In 2008, we were presented a resolution from the Alabama House of Representatives that recognized the group "for its outstanding accomplishments and utmost desire to bring glory to God". Perhaps one of our proudest moments came during a live Internet radio event when a call was received from a soldier in Afghanistan who had roots to our home area. He just wanted to let us know that our music made him feel closer to home and reminded him that God was always with him. The kindness and hospitality that has been shown to us by so many of you will never be forgotten. Many of you have shared your homes, your financial support and your love with us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

In light of the current need to replace two key vocal positions, we have decided to disband the group entirely. It was only through much prayer and careful consideration that this difficult decision was reached. We want to thank each and every church and individual who has supported us throughout the years, and we covet your prayers as each of us moves forward into the next chapter of our lives. We'd also like to thank our families for the backing they gave us through the years. They were always a large part of Capstone, because we could not have stayed on the road without their prayers and unending support.

We realize that some will question why we have reached this decision. As previously stated, the decision was made only through much prayer and consideration. There are no hard feelings between any members of the group, and we have unanimously come to this resolution together. We've put our hearts and souls into this ministry and given our audiences our greatest effort in presenting the Gospel professionally and in a manner that would bring honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As with anything else, we faced our share of challenges and even some disappointments along the way, but for the most part, the time we all spent here was wonderful. Most importantly, the anointing of the Holy Spirit was always with us; however, we feel that this is God's direction at this time and we have no regrets.

In lieu of this conclusion, all scheduled appearances beyond 12/31/2011 will be canceled. If you are a pastor, worship leader or otherwise key person at your church or event who was responsible for scheduling a 2012 or 2013 engagement, we will begin making attempts to contact you as soon as possible to resolve the conflict this creates. We will also be glad to recommend another ministry to fill our vacancy.
