PERSONNEL CHANGES ANNOUNCED
Capstone is proud to announce the addition of Dave Waldrep as new bass vocalist. Dave is from Gardendale, AL and has a rich
tradition in gospel music including stays with groups such as The Gospel Prophets, The Royal Masters, Southern Harmony and Sheltered Harbor.
Dave is as solid a bass part singer as you will find anywhere and is blessed with a smooth and pleasant tone that only compliments those rich,
deep notes that he is able to produce with ease. Dave loves to sing and experience the rewarding ministry of Southern Gospel Quartet Music.
He is a true extrovert and can usually be found mingling and sharing stories with the crowd before and after Capstone concerts.
"For 17 years, the title 'Capstone Bass' was synonymous with 'Joe Brown'. When Joe decided to retire from the group, we were kind of left
scratching our heads trying to figure out how to try to replace him. It quickly became evident that we were going to have to slide over to the
passenger's seat and let God have total control", stated group manager Bob Sellers. "Once we did that, HE really showed out! We talked to or
auditioned upwards of 30 men, and Dave really separated himself from the pack with his smooth, rich voice and desire to be a part of our group. Not only is he a great singer, but he's
a fine Christian man and exemplifies the way we want this ministry to be represented." Make your plans to see and hear the
new lineup with Dave soon and help us welcome him into the Capstone family!
