CAPSTONE HONORED BY ALABAMA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES!
NEW! We were recently surprised and honored when Alabama State Representative Allen Layson showed up at a local concert to present us with honorary plaques from the State House of Representatives, who recently adopted Resolution HR490, which extended highest commendations to The Capstone Quartet "upon its outstanding accomplishments and utmost desire to bring glory to God". The resolution was sponsored by Representative Layson, (who is a big fan of ours and, above all, a devout Christian), and it reads in part; "Whereas, based out of Gordo, Alabama, the current members of The Capstone Quartet include tenor, Dale Taylor; lead singer, Bob Sellers; baritone, Jimmy Latham; and bass, Joe Brown; and whereas, continually striving to uplift our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all across the nation, The Capstone Quartet has earned the admiration and respect of all those who know them and have been blessed by their music; now therefore be it resolved by the House of Representatives of The Legislature of Alabama, that The Capstone Quartet is recognized and honored for its outstanding accomplishments and utmost desire to bring glory to God and it is directed that a copy of this resolution be provided to them with our sincere best wishes for all future endeavors". We were very humbled by such pomp and circumstance, but were appreciative nonetheless of Representative Layson’s and the State of Alabama’s recognition.
